In the well-filled arena in Jena, 3,125 spectators saw a thrilling exchange of blows that remained exciting until the last minute. But in the end the home team was able to triumph and won 85:72.
From the first second, the Niners Chemnitz showed that they had started the game with a strong offense and led with an impressive 24:8 after the first quarter. But Science City Jena didn't let it get them down. With a solid defense, they inevitably fought their way back into the game and managed to go into the locker room only trailing 36:41 at halftime. In this phase, Jena's defense was particularly remarkable.
