Jena football cheer! 3-1 win and transfer poker for Pedro Vitor!

On Sunday, FC Carl Zeiss Jena was able to demonstrate its strength again and celebrated a convincing 3-1 win against third division club Schweinfurt 05. In the first half of the game, the Jena team showed high intensity and effectiveness, which coach Volkan Uluc praised very much. His team took a 3-0 lead thanks to goals from Manassé Eshele (33rd/37th) and Marcel Hoppe (35th). But after a little carelessness, Michael Dellinger scored the next goal in the 72nd minute.

But not everything went according to plan. In an earlier match against Nuremberg II, attacker Pedro Vitor was injured when he collided with an opponent and had to be hospitalized. Fortunately, it turned out his nose was not broken and he was banned from training for a few days. However, coach Uluc was optimistic: “We would like to have Pedro firmly in the squad, there are only economic details of the transfer that need to be clarified,” such as Picture reported.

A new striker in prospect

Carl Zeiss Jena has big plans for the coming weeks and wants to push forward with the signing of Pedro Vitor. The 25-year-old has been training with the club since June 30th and attracted a lot of attention at BFC Preußen last season: 20 goals in 29 games speak for themselves. Vitor, who played a key role in the rise of his former team, is aiming for a move to Jena and negotiations appear to be on the right track. Coach Uluc is optimistic and confirms: “We agree, what is still missing are contractual details!”

But Vitor is not the only player who could strengthen Jena. Another test player, Osazee Aghatise, is also training with FCC. The 22-year-old, trained at Manchester United and Manchester City and without a club for a year, has piqued the interest of coach Uluc. He praised Aghatise, but noted that he lacked experience in team training. Here too, a decision is expected soon in order to supplement the squad in a timely manner.

Focus on injury prevention

A critical topic that is becoming increasingly important in Jena's training is injury prevention. Football players are exposed to high physical demands, which significantly increase the risk of injuries. Preventive measures can help minimize this risk. In recent decades, scientific findings have produced new programs that help reduce injuries. Programs like FIFA 11+ or specific exercises like the Nordic Hamstring Curl show positive effects. Sports Doctors Newspaper highlights that coaching teams play a crucial role in implementing these measures to both reduce injury rates and improve player performance.

Finally, it should be noted that the Carl Zeiss Jena team has ambitious goals for the new season and will do everything in its power to sign the right players and minimize their risk of injury. The coming weeks could be crucial for the further course of the season.
