Complete closure between Schkölen and Nautschütz: diversions necessary!

In the region between Schkölen and Nautschütz, residents and road users must prepare for a complete closure of local thoroughfares from July 21st to August 8th, 2025. The reason for this is an urgently needed ceiling renovation on the state road L 1372. As jenatv.de reports, the measure will be carried out in a total of three construction phases in order to keep the disruption as low as possible.

The construction phases are planned as follows:

  • OD Nautschütz: 21. bis 25. Juli 2025
  • OD Zschorgula: 28. Juli bis 1. August 2025
  • Schkölen, Zschorgulaer Straße (Fahrtrichtung Zschorgula): 4. bis 8. August 2025

One bright spot: The closures are expected to be lifted on weekends. During the construction period, however, access to the Böhlitz area via Nautschütz will be guaranteed, so that at least part of the traffic flow will be maintained. Detours lead along well-known roads to make it easier to avoid the construction sites.

Detours and traffic information

As saaleholzlandkreis.de reports, traffic will be rerouted over two routes:

  • Schkölen – L 201 – Prießnitz – B 88 – Naumburg (Saale) – Wethau – L 200 – Beuditz – Osterfeld
  • Schkölen – L 1071 – Eisenberg – L 1073 – Meineweh – Osterfeld

There may also be restrictions on local public transport as part of the construction site. The Nautschütz and Böhlitz stops will be eliminated during the first two construction phases, while the stops in Zschorgula and Pratschütz will not be served in the second construction phase. While this work demands a lot from passengers, it is to be hoped that the diversions are well signposted.

Mobility and infrastructure

The temporary closures are part of a broader effort to sustainably improve infrastructure and make transport more efficient. As part of the mobility transition, which is also supported by bmv.de, the aim is to create a new awareness of urban and transport planning. The aim is to avoid and relocate traffic and improve the general conditions.

Traffic in Germany is traditionally heavily influenced by private cars, with almost half of daily journeys being made by motor vehicle. Projects that promote public transport and optimize the infrastructure for pedestrians and cyclists are all the more necessary. The expected closure of the L 1372 is therefore not only a necessary measure, but also part of a fundamental change in transport planning that requires a good hand for future developments.

In summary, there will be a number of construction sites in the coming weeks and months that will require patience from residents. The ceiling renovation measures are essential and are intended to ensure improved transport infrastructure in the long term. So stay tuned and stay informed about developments!
