Ahrensburger youth diving team celebrates success at the VDST federal youth meeting!

The Ahrensburg diving youth had cleared the Federal Youth Meeting 2025 of the Association of German Sports Divers (VDST) in Nordhausen. On June 9, 2025, enthusiastic divers came together at the picturesque Sündhäuser See to enjoy a varied program. The event, which lasted from June 6 to June 9, was organized carefully, starting with the logistical preparation, which included the transport of 1.4 tons of equipment, including two large team tents and camp beds. In order to appear on time to greet on Friday evening, the journey started with a 9-seater bus on June 5th.

What was on the schedule at the meeting? On Saturday, among other things, the participants were able to jump into the lake, take exciting diving and apnea workshops, as well as enjoy a sociable atmosphere at the barbecue evening and a night dive. Of course, the classically cozy moments were not missing, such as roasting marshmallows around the campfire and the game "Werwolf". On Sunday there was a cardiac reservations course and a lot of other opportunities to let off steam in diving.

The Ahrensburg youth divers also celebrated some success in their training programs: one participant received the German diving badge (DTSA), while three others were able to take home the DTSA Apnea. The positive feedback from the participants was extremely gratifying. So the beautiful lake, the exciting dives and the new acquaintances to other clubs were praised in the highest tones. The organizers of the VDST earned great thanks for their excellent work and the smooth cooperation throughout the event.

A special highlight will be the snorkeling training of the TSGA in the future. Interested young people can take part every Friday from 8:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., while training times apply every Tuesday and Friday for adults. There is more information on the TSGA website: tsga.de .

The diving community is already preparing for 2025. For the diving athletes of the TLN, there are not only exciting competitions, but also numerous exchange programs. These not only promote technology in diving, but also the team spirit among young people.
