There was music again recently in the Cyriaci Chapel in Nordhausen. The students of the Nordhausen District Music School thrilled the audience with two impressive concerts. The first concert, staged as a pillow concert, put the talents of the young musicians in the spotlight. Afterwards, older students showed off their skills, including winners of the “Jugend musiziert” competition.
The program was a varied mix: from classic melodies to rock sounds, there was something for every taste. The variety of performances, which included instruments such as the accordion and flute and emphatic singing, showed the students' great musical potential. On the occasion of the 25th anniversary, Manuela Hardt from Triga Immobilien presented a generous donation of 3,000 euros to the district music school's support association. These funds are a valuable contribution to supporting students in organizing rehearsal trips and purchasing special instruments.
The support association in action
The Association of Friends and Supporters of the Nordhausen District Music School e.V. has been supporting the district music school both intellectually and materially for over 20 years. Through close cooperation with the school management and the staff, the association is committed to ensuring that students are optimally supported. This not only includes the purchase of musical instruments and sheet music, but also the annual organization of a large art festival in cooperation with the Nordhausen Youth Art School.
In total, the support association has collected more than 155,000 euros in donations, funding and contributions. Promote musical education
