New funding for social projects in the Saale-Orla district!

In the Saale-Orla district, a lot is happening-and that is all about neighborhood help! The district office has teamed up with the Thuringian volunteer foundation and brings fresh funding to the commitment fund "arrived next door". From now on, volunteer organizations and initiatives can benefit from a total of 19,000 euros to realize their own projects.

The range of funded projects is large: whether tandem initiatives, welcome initiatives, sports and neighborhood festivals or even intercultural cooking evenings-there is something for every taste. So if you have a sparkling idea, you could expect up to 1,500 euros. A financial contribution is not necessary, which makes access to the means easier.

funding opportunities and application deadline

The possibilities are favorable for everyone who wants to promote multiculturalism and cooperation. Expenses, property and travel expenses as well as fee can be reimbursed. And best of all: projects that started before the application are also eligible! The application period runs until October 31, 2025. This is a good period of time to plan your own projects and make the application.

Anyone who has questions can contact Jens Herzog, the integration manager of the district office. It can be reached on 03663 488 898. In addition, on the website of the Saale-Orla district there is all the necessary information on the funding application.

part of a larger initiative

This fund comes at an important time, because in recent years numerous people from different countries have found to Thuringia. Many of them have a long escape and are now looking for a new home. The support of the Thuringian Volunteer Foundation is intended to help reduce prejudices and to promote multicultural coexistence. The engagement fund "arrived next door" aims to build trust in the neighborhoods, which is promoted by personal encounters. Information and networking options are also available online, which also facilitate the exchange between the initiatives.

In addition, the support framework for integration projects is expanded by the Thuringian Ministry of Social Affairs, Health, Work and Family (TMSGAF). From September 2024, an accompanying structure for integration projects will be launched, which should offer significant support for implementing sponsors by December 2026. A total of 31 projects are realized in all Thuringian counties and independent cities and aim to strengthen the existing structures and to facilitate migrants.

Overall, it shows that there are many committed people in Thuringia and especially in the Saale-Orla district who are committed to better cooperation. The new funding and initiatives could be the key to a harmonious living together in our diverse neighborhoods. So if you have a good hand for integrative projects, you should now be active and take the chances!
