Youth fire brigade Herges-Hallenberg wins in the spectacular extinguishing attack!
Herges-Hallenberg, Deutschland - at 31. Citizens' Festival in Herges-Hallenberg The spectators were feverish with the young fire brigade talents last weekend. As part of the festival, an exciting extinguishing attack for age group I (6-10 years) took place, organized by the youth fire brigade attendant Desiree Herzog. While the youth fire brigades of the hazel area were also in Breitungen at the district youth fire tent camp, the participants showed full commitment.
Three teams, the host team Herges-Hallenberg, a team from Bermbach and a mixed team from Bermmbach competed against each other in the fire-fighting attack. It became particularly exciting when the first run of the Bermmbacher could not be rated with the water tank due to a technical problem. After thorough cleaning, however, there was a second attempt. Ultimately, the Herges-Hallenberger were able to secure the trophy with an impressive time of 41 seconds. The citizens' festival not only attracted fire -fighting enthusiasts, but also offered numerous culinary highlights. From fresh spare ribs to Hungarian sauerkraut to delicious onion cakes from the bakery, there was something for every taste. A special delicacy was the appearance of the Black River Band , which created a great atmosphere on Saturday evening. The traditional duck race took place on Sunday afternoon, in which the 350 ducks sold a course of 1.5 kilometers. The fastest duck wore number 241. Of course, all children got their ducks back after the race, which provided great joy. The winner of the race was Lea Schirin Medola, who also received a voucher for sweet treats from Viba Sweets. Around 60 volunteers of the HERGES-HALLENBERG fire brigade under the direction of Dominik Müller ensured that everything ran like clockwork. Their active support was crucial throughout the event. The event was not only a competition, but also a great opportunity to experience community and team spirit, which was very well received by those present. Such events are also important for youth fire work, which is divided into various competitions.
