An unfortunate traffic accident occurred on Monday morning in the municipality of Rohr in the Schmalkalden-Meiningen district. At 11:05 a.m. a driver left the road and overturned several times. Fortunately, the driver, who was traveling from Meiningen towards Rohr, only suffered minor injuries, but was still taken to hospital in an ambulance for a closer examination. According to the initial investigation, the wet road conditions may have played a role in this incident, as the vehicle ended up on its roof and had to be towed away. Reported in southern Thuringia.
But this accident wasn't the only topic on Monday. At around 7:15 a.m. another incident occurred on the country road between Meiningen and Rohr. Here, a 41-year-old driver and her 17-year-old passenger also left the road and ended up in a ditch after going off the road to the right in a curve. The fire department had to free the driver from the car. Fortunately, no one was seriously injured in this case, but both had to be taken to hospital. While the accident was being recorded, the road was initially full and later partially closed. The car was also towed, but the amount of damage caused is still unknown. Tag24 reported on it.
