New transfer series in the district league: Which teams are coming out trumps?
The 2025 Cologne football season is exciting! Team transfers are in full swing and coaches are keeping an eye on the hot list of newcomers. According to Thüringer Allgemeine, several teams have signed interesting players and thus strengthened their ranks.
A particularly up-and-coming team in the district league is VfB Grün-Weiß Erfurt. We are pleased about the arrival of Justin Eichhorn from Kerspleben, while there are no departures. This could be the key to a stable season.
However, things look a little different at FC Union Erfurt. The club has brought in important additions such as Simon Schmidt, who has since returned, and talents such as Tim Hebestreit from Mühlhausen and Tim Böhme from Sondershausen. Nevertheless, the team has also had to accept a few departures, including Tom Czeskleba, who is moving to Erfurt Nord, and Max Czeskleba, who is going to Marbach. Thomas Freche has ended his career.
The competition never sleeps
The Sport-Freunde Marbach are also making big progress. They were able to introduce two promising newcomers: Pierre Palige (Gangloffsömmern) and Oliver Arnold (Ohrdruf). Max Czeskleba also returns from Union Erfurt, while Niklas Hebestreit moves to Büßleben. The team faces further challenges as some players retire.
With SG Vieselbach/Hochstedt, new talent is coming to the club. Arlindo Acker from Isseroda and Pedro Jose Izquierdo Coronado from Riethnordhausen should strengthen the team, although they will not have to give up anyone this season. So we look forward to the new challenge with optimism.
Strong new additions and positive development
SV Fortuna Ingersleben has strengthened itself well with Julian Zentgraf (Walschleben) and Nils Krannich (Elgersburg), while there are also no departures to report. TSV Kerspleben can also be happy about Benny Linse from Geratal and Kevin Schenke from Büßleben, but they have to give up Justin Eichhorn.
In the meantime, SpVgg Eintracht Erfurt has signed a number of talents from the A youth team, including Lennox Wöller and Justin Lindenbeck. The departures are also notable, as experienced players like Martin Hellmund have ended their careers.
The situation looks positive for ESV Lok Erfurt: The team was able to integrate numerous talents from the A-youth without giving up any players. At the other end, SG An der Lache Erfurt has recruited new talent, while there have also been some departures here.
The number of arrivals and departures could mean an exciting finale in the fight for promotion. So the question remains: Who can secure the regional league crown this season? The anticipation for the next games and the developments of the teams is definitely huge.
