In Neuhaus am Rennweg, there are significant changes in the swimming pool "Am Rennsteig". Silke Kümmerling from the Office for Tree Management informed the city council about the hard realities of the sports facility promotion.

As is known, the swimming pool is expected to be closed next year. Despite these hurdles, the city remains confident that the swimming pool will shine in new splendor.

The offer also includes a power and gymnastics room, two saunas and a solarium. Interested parties can even acquire a combination ticket for the sauna area. A look at the funding

To advance the planned renovation, a new application for funding is made at Thuringian sports promotion This program not only supports the new building, but also the modernization and renovation of public sports facilities. The funding is provided from household funds, whereby the municipal regional authorities and recognized sports organizations come into question as beneficiaries.

The guideline for the sports facility building funding provides for various maximum amounts. In this way, up to 60% of the grant -capable expenditure for construction work can be funded. However, the requests required for this must be submitted in good time until July 1 of the current year. It remains to be hoped that the city of Neuhaus am Rennweg will receive support to realize the renovation of the swimming pool and thus make an important contribution to the sporting infrastructure.
