Premiere in Suhl: First Museum Night promises unforgettable experiences!

On November 14, 2025, Suhl opens the doors to its first Museum Night, an event not to be missed. Under the motto “Experience history”, several cultural institutions invite you to discover the diversity of the city in an entertaining atmosphere from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. The big kick-off will take place at 6 p.m. in the city library, where the author Kay-Uwe Ziehn will present his captivating reading “The Ottiliensage” in multimedia.

Where are we going then? Very easy! The vehicle museum offers two guided tours of the exhibition “From Two-Stroke Engines to Legends”, one at 6:30 p.m. and the second at 8 p.m. For art lovers, the municipal gallery in the CCS is not neglected: Here visitors can expect a DJ set and an impressive light installation that runs from 6 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. Anyone who would like to look around the weapons museum has the opportunity to take part in a child-friendly tour at 6:30 p.m. or be spooked during the flashlight tours at 7:30 p.m. and 8:30 p.m.

Culinary offerings and exciting activities

At Mühlplatz, the event is complemented by “Talk at the Blacksmith’s Fire” from 6:30 p.m. to 9 p.m., followed by an impressive fire dance at 9:30 p.m. The atrium of the CCS attracts with face painting, craft activities and culinary delicacies. There is something for every age group here!

Admission for the night is regulated by a museum wristband that is valid for all participating institutions. The prices are extremely family-friendly: adults pay 9 euros, reduced prices 7 euros, while children and students between 6 and 15 years only have to shell out 4 euros. Entry is even free for the little ones under 6 years of age. Tickets are available in advance at, among other places, the city library, the vehicle museum and the weapons museum, as well as on site on the day of the event.
