Full meeting at the German-French youth exchange in Suhl!
A very special meeting recently took place in the picturesque town of Suhl. For ten days, the best young shooters from Germany and France met at the renowned Suhl Shooting Sports Center (SSZS) to take part in a sporting exchange that has its roots deep in the history of the two nations. In southern Thuringia It is reported that this exchange was a valuable experience for the 21 young people from both countries, not only in terms of sport but also culturally.
Such exchanges have been organized since the Franco-German Youth Office (DFJW) was founded in 1963 to give young people the opportunity to develop athletically and personally. Every year, young shooters from both countries come together to compete in shooting sports, and these meetings have been very popular since the 1970s. Whether culture or sport, the exchange promotes mutual understanding and friendship between nations.
A day full of highlights
The event in Suhl was not only a sporting highlight, but also an opportunity to make new friends and explore cultural differences. Boys and girls used the time to train together and take part in competitions. It became clear that promoting talent goes hand in hand on both sides and is a lot of fun. The SSZS offers ideal conditions for this.
The DFJW supports a wide range of exchange projects that go beyond shooting sports. In addition to sporting activities, the organization also supports cultural, social and environmental projects that strengthen learning and cooperation between countries. Funding programs include, among other things, language courses, internships and artistic and social initiatives. The encounters can last up to 21 days and are aimed at young people between the ages of 12 and 30.
Conclusion: A complete success
The meeting in Suhl was not only a sporting success, but also perfectly fulfilled the DFJW's goal of promoting mutual understanding between Germany and France. After these ten days full of shooting sports and intercultural exchange, the participants go home not only with new knowledge, but also with new friendships - a true showcase project! In the hearts of the two nations, it was once again proven that sport builds bridges and promotes coexistence.
