Quality in palliative care
The Palliative Forum pursues an important goal: the individual and comprehensive support of people with different needs for help. This is ensured through networked collaboration within the Diako facilities. The training of the actors plays a crucial role here. According to the German Society for Palliative Medicine (DGP), palliative care requires high-quality training, further education and training. These further training measures are intended to meet the holistic approach and the multidimensional requirements of the patients.
Those involved in palliative care rely on specialized specialist knowledge, skills and a reflective attitude. The DGP is committed to ensuring a uniform quality standard and carries out extensive certification processes for further and advanced training courses without organizing courses itself. These measures are of central importance in order to meet the increased demands in healthcare practice.
