Summer vacation in the planetarium: adventure for small astronauts!

Burgseestraße 6, 36433 Bad Salzungen, Deutschland - The Volkshochschule Wartburgkreis has compiled an exciting summer vacation program in the Planetarium Bad Salzungen for all small astronomy fans. In Burgseestraße 7 a, in the idyllic Bad Salzungen am Burgsee, children and young people can immerse themselves in the fascinating world of the universe.

On Tuesday, July 8, 2025, it starts with two events: In the morning from 10.30 a.m. to 12 p.m. In the afternoon from 2:00 p.m. to 3:30 p.m., the participants can track down the development of space travel and their achievements, the program "From the 1st rocket to the Enterprise".

But that's not all! On Thursday, July 17, 2025, the children can experience the adventures of Eisbär and Penguin on their trip from the North Pole to the South Pole from 10.30 a.m. to 12 p.m. On the same day, the impressive event "from Big Bang to the present", which represents the origin and change of sky bodies in a captivating 3D projection.

Another Highlight is on the program on Tuesday, August 5, 2025. From 2 p.m. to 3:30 p.m., the participants can discover the exciting details of the Apollo 11 Mission, which started on July 16, 1969 and brought humanity to the moon. Here a look behind the scenes of the legendary mission is taken.

The planetarium in Bad Salzungen, which has been known for its handmade projection device from Carl Zeiss Jena since it was opened in 1983, not only offers this summer forecast, but also regular events, special events such as children's birthdays and company celebrations. With a dome diameter of 8.0 meters and a height of 6.5 meters, it is an ideal place to be enchanted by the stars. For the very special occasions, there is even the possibility to enjoy a 4-course dinner under the artificial starry sky-of course, only with a clear sky!
