U21 European Championships: Di Salvo names Kader-failure of three key players!

Modra, Slowakei - U21 national coach Antonio di Salvo has announced the final squad for the European Football Championship, which will take place in Slovakia. The European Championship begins on June 11th and ends on June 28, 2025, while the German U21 will compete in Group B against Slovenia, the Czech Republic and England. However, Di Salvo has to do without some players, which makes the compilation of the squad demanding. Finn Jeltsch from VfB Stuttgart fails due to injury, while goalkeeper Johannes Schenk (Prussia Münster) is also not available after he was injured by the hand in the training camp. Derry Scherbant from Hertha BSC presented himself well, but is initially not taken into account due to the squad composition, but remains a possible successor and will compete against Finland.

For the position of the third goalkeeper, Nahuel Noll (Greuther Fürth) will travel to the European Championship. Noah Atubolu (SC Freiburg) is set as number 1, followed by Tjark Ernst (Hertha BSC) as his representative. The decision was not easy for the field players either, especially since some defensive players were slightly struck. Pharel Namdi Collins (Eintracht Frankfurt) and Tim Oermann (VfL Bochum) had to step in in the training camp, which made the coaching top decisions complex. Nick Woltemade (VfB Stuttgart) will travel early from the A national team to the U21 and could possibly play with the A national team in the National League final on the day of departure.
