Tenth Nick & Co-Cup: Football stars for sick children in Gummersbach!
Gummersbach-Bernberg, Deutschland - The "Nick & Co-Cup" benefit tournament took place for the tenth time this year on the Gummersbacher Bernberg. From May 29 to June 1, 2025, numerous families, football fans and supporters of social projects gathered to take part in this extraordinary event. On the three tournament days, 48 teams from all over Europe competed against each other in the U8, U9 and U10 age groups. The spectacle also attracted renowned clubs, including Juventus Turin and Manchester City. The event, which has been taking place since 2011, has already collected over 100,000 euros for seriously ill children and their families, reports the Kölner Stadt-Anzeiger .
The idea behind the tournament, which was launched by Bettina Hühn, the CEO of the Ursula-Barth Foundation, is particularly remarkable. She initiated the event after meeting the seriously sick Nick. The first tournament started with seven teams, while national and international greats of football started this year.
