Frankfurt (Oder) Library opens again on time on Monday!

The Frankfurt (Oder) City and Regional Library will return to its regular opening hours starting next Monday, October 20, 2025. The city administration announced this, showing that the library is once again a reliable place to go for book lovers and those thirsty for knowledge. Mayor Claus Junghanns expressed his thanks to the dedicated library team, who made a significant contribution to restoring opening hours. The city library is located at Bischofstraße 17, where the central offering is available for anyone interested.

The opening times in detail for House 1, Bischofstraße 17 are:

  • Montag: nur für angemeldete Gruppen
  • Dienstag: 10.00 bis 18.00 Uhr
  • Mittwoch: 14.00 bis 18.00 Uhr
  • Donnerstag: 10.00 bis 18.00 Uhr
  • Freitag: 10.00 bis 18.00 Uhr
  • Samstag: 10.00 bis 13.00 Uhr

The following opening times apply to the children's and youth library in House 2, Collegienstraße 10:

  • Montag: nur für angemeldete Gruppen
  • Dienstag: 11.00 bis 18.00 Uhr
  • Mittwoch: 13.00 bis 18.00 Uhr
  • Donnerstag: 11.00 bis 18.00 Uhr
  • Freitag: 11.00 bis 18.00 Uhr
  • Samstag: 10.00 bis 13.00 Uhr

Closing days and contact

It is important to note that both locations will be closed on Saturday, November 1st. This should be taken into account when planning your library visit. Otherwise the doors are open as usual.
