The start was marked by the GENERALI 5K, in which 10,613 running enthusiasts took part - including over 2,000 Berliners who took part with a lot of enthusiasm. The winner of the GENERALI 5K was Primoz Kobe from Slovenia, who crossed the finish line with a time of 15:06 minutes. Ijke Mourits from the Netherlands completed the podium with a time of 17:22 minutes. The R5K race was also a real eye-catcher, where Christoph Schrick from Königsteiner LV set the fastest time of the entire R5K tour with 13:57 minutes. He was followed by U20 winner Tristan Kaufhold, who finished in 13:58 minutes. Despite a fifth place in Berlin, Carlotta Bülck from LG Erlangen secured overall victory in the U20 classification - an impressive achievement!
Mini-MARATHON inspires young people
Another highlight of the weekend was the mini-MARATHON, which featured over 10,000 young runners, including the little ones. And inline skating was also very popular! The competition started promptly at 12:20 p.m. and gave athletes the opportunity to show off their skills on a circuit. Ewen Fernandez from France triumphed here, crossing the finish line first with a time of 59:27 minutes. The pursuers Beddiaf Nolan and Hugo Gerard, both also from France, followed at the same time with 1:00:09 hours. In the women's race, Aubane Plouhinec prevailed and reached the finish after 1:16:06 hours, followed by Noraly Berber Vonk and Laura Perdomo, who both finished just a second later.
