Karlsruhes customs accounts for: 8 billion euros in income and records in the event of undeclared work!

In 2024, the main customs office in Karlsruhe generated a remarkable financial return flow of a total of eight billion euros for the German state, making a significant contribution to the total income of the customs administration of around 150 billion euros. What is striking is the high amount of damage of over 94 million euros, which was uncovered by the financial control undeclared work - the highest value nationwide. The largest proportion of income comes from consumer taxes, in particular the energy tax that made 4.3 billion euros alone.

In addition, the main customs office carried out more than 860 employer exams last year, especially in areas with a high risk of illegal employment, such as construction and transportation. More than 24 million euros in tariffs and taxes were raised by subsequent exams at companies. In addition, the central criminal and fine office completed over 6,100 criminal proceedings and 360 fine procedures, which punished the effort when checking cash with almost 100,000 euros.
