Outdoor pool panorama: Swiss priority and conflicts with foreigners!

Imagine you are at an outdoor swimming pool in Porrentruy, Switzerland, and you are denied entry simply because you cannot show a Swiss passport. This is exactly what has been happening there since July 4, 2025. The city administration of Porrentruy has decided that only Swiss citizens, people with a Swiss employment contract or those residing in Switzerland are entitled to access their outdoor swimming pool. This is a consequence of the high number of visitors, particularly from France, which has led to violent clashes among bathers and attacks on staff. The mayor of Porrentruy speaks of more than twenty people who were banned from entry due to inappropriate behavior. The discussion about ID checks and possible discrimination was also initiated in Berlin, where similar problems were found in outdoor pools such as the Prinzenbad and Columbiabad. The regulation in Porrentruy will remain in force until August 31st. Other bathers have the option of accessing the outdoor pool with a special access card that is linked to hotel or campsite bookings. The Berliner Bäder Betriebs does not comment on other incidents in outdoor pools or the policies of other operators.

A new outdoor pool concept?

The debate surrounding access restrictions has caused quite a stir in the media. More and more attention is being drawn to a “France-specific problem”. It is mainly young Swiss people who are in the minority when it comes to incidents. This also raises the question of whether such regulations should apply in the long term or whether a solution can be found that takes into account both safety concerns and access to leisure activities for all people.

Similar to Porrentruy, there is also increased discussion about access controls in other regions. In Berlin, the responsible companies have introduced ID checks to prevent potential conflicts. The question here is whether these measures are sufficient or whether deeper structural changes are necessary.

Cheers to technology

As outdoor pools grapple with such challenges, technology is also evolving. An example of this is the Swiss 300C, a 2-seat helicopter specially created for various missions. This helicopter impresses with its improved drive technology, robustness and high adaptability for various applications, be it for aerial photography or agriculture. It is precisely such technical innovations that show how important flexibility and efficiency are today.

With a maximum speed of up to 95 knots and various possible uses, the Schweizer 300C is a real all-rounder, whether for supplying hard-to-reach areas or for security surveillance.

Virtual encounters and friendships

But there is news not only in the air, you can also have exciting encounters in digital space. The platform OmeTV offers users a safe way to connect with people from all over the world. Meaningful interactions are encouraged here, which is more important than ever today to broaden social and cultural horizons.

Thanks to user-friendly navigation and robust protection mechanisms, users can make new acquaintances and make long-term friends with confidence. The security concept with modern encryption and strict moderation protects users and ensures a safe environment when chatting.

Whether at the lake, in the air or online – the opportunities to meet new people and experience moments are more diverse than ever before.
