Long Night of Museums: Love and Art in Berlin on August 30th!

On August 30, 2025, things will be happening again in Berlin, as the “Long Night of the Museums” will illuminate the city under the motto “Love in Berlin”. From 6 p.m. to 2 a.m., art and culture enthusiasts have the opportunity to explore 75 museums and take part in over 750 events. This exciting event series offers more than just art - it is a celebration of love in all its facets. The State Museums of Berlin are of course there and ensure a varied program.

The highlights of the event include a crossover dance event entitled “I am in love with…” in the Bode Museum as well as captivating short concerts that musically implement the theme of love. In the picture gallery, visitors can look forward to presentations such as “(Sibling) Love” and “Love for Music. Music for Love”. Short tours under the motto “Most BeLOVEd of the Neue Nationalgalerie” promise additional insights and expanded perspectives on the exhibitions.

An unforgettable experience for everyone

The entire Museum Island will open its doors. There is a special anniversary to celebrate: 200 years of Museum Island! Despite the wide range of offerings, there are some restrictions as not all halls are accessible due to budgetary and staff capacity. Nevertheless, no one will have to go home disappointed.

Central meeting points will be available on Museum Island from 4 p.m. At these hotspots, visitors will find information stands, food trucks and participation stations. From 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. there will be live music at various locations, creating an additional festive atmosphere.

Ticket purchase details

Tickets for this extraordinary experience can be purchased online in the ticket shop or at the ticket offices of the participating museums, as well as at Ticketmaster and Berlin Tourist Info. If you hurry, you can still secure the savings tickets until August 17, 2025. The prices are as follows:

• Spartickets: 15 Euro (ermäßigt 12 Euro)
• Reguläre Tickets: 23 Euro (ermäßigt 17 Euro)
• Kinder bis 12 Jahre: freier Eintritt (eigenes Ticket erforderlich)

Proof is required for discounts so that schoolchildren, students, volunteers and other eligible groups can enjoy a cheaper admission price. However, the annual ticket for the State Museums and the Berlin Museum Pass are not valid during this event.

To make it easier for visitors to get there, there are shuttle bus connections to the selected museums. There are stops at the Philharmonie Süd, at the Zoological Garden and at Luisenplatz and enable convenient transport.
