Police are desperately searching for a missing 13-year-old from Lichtenberg

The Berlin police are asking the public for help in finding 13-year-old Amelia Draschenk, who has been missing since July 17, 2025. Amelia disappeared from her parents' apartment on Frankfurter Allee in Berlin-Lichtenberg on Thursday afternoon around 3 p.m. Since then, her parents have had no contact with her and all attempts to reach Amelia have been unsuccessful. The police do not rule out that the girl could be in a helpless situation, which underlines the urgency of the search. According to Bild Amelia is not a repeat offender and has never been missing before.

What do we know about Amelia? She is around 170 to 175 centimeters tall, has a slim build and long brown hair, which she often wears with heavy make-up. At the time of her disappearance she was wearing a white sweater, gray sweatpants and black and white Adidas sneakers. In this context, the police ask: Who has seen Amelia since her disappearance? Who can provide relevant information about their whereabouts? This information is crucial to finding Amelia as quickly as possible, as Tagesspiegel confirms.

Urgent information sought

The local police department is usually responsible for investigating missing people, especially minors. Because according to information from the [Federal Criminal Police Office](https://www.bka.de/DE/ UnserAufgabe/Ermittlungsunterstuetzung/BearbeitungVermisstenfaelle/verfahrenVermisstenfaelle.html), missing minors are generally considered to be in danger. These cases are therefore taken particularly seriously and, if necessary, extensive search measures are initiated.

Anyone with information is asked to contact the missing persons office of the State Criminal Police Office at Keithstrasse 30 in Tiergarten. You can contact us by phone at (030) 4664-912444 or by email at LKA124Hinweise@polizei.berlin.de. In addition to these options, tips can also be sent to any other police station or via the Berlin Police Internet Station. If immediate action is required, the emergency number should be dialed on 110.

Finding missing people is an issue that concerns us all. The responsibility of sharing information could be the key to bringing Amelia back into the arms of her family. Together we will not give up hope!
