Test matches in Berlin: Exciting duels lie ahead!
An exciting test match weekend is just around the corner! The calendar pages show July 14, 2025, and football fans can look forward to a number of promising games. How FUPA reported, the week starts tomorrow with several matches: At 6:00 p.m. FSV Optik Rathenow meets BFC Preussen. A little later, at 7:00 p.m., SV Viktoria Potsdam will play against the U19s from Hertha 03 Zehlendorf. In addition to these games, there is further news that will be of particular interest to fans of Berlin football.
There are numerous games on the program on Tuesday, July 15th:
- FSV Optik Rathenow – BFC Preussen, 18:00 Uhr
- SV Viktoria Potsdam – FC Hertha 03 Zehlendorf U19, 19:00 Uhr
- SV Blau-Gelb Berlin – SG Einheit Zepernick 1925 II, 19:00 Uhr
- SV Schmöckwitz-Eichwalde – Adlershofer BC 08, 19:30 Uhr
- TuS 1896 Sachsenhausen – SC Charlottenburg, 19:30 Uhr
Further test game plan
Wednesday will be filled with further encounters. There will be a clash between FC Hertha 03 Zehlendorf and Berliner AK at 6:30 p.m. The test match between BSV Eintracht Mahlsdorf and SV 1908 Grün-Weiss Ahrensfelde, which kicks off at 7:00 p.m., will certainly be a highlight. The duels are part of an extensive series of test matches that lasts until the weekend.
Another interesting date falls on Thursday, July 17th, when, for example, Berlin Hilalspor II will play against Hertha BSC III.
Union Berlin on preparation course
In keeping with the test match period, Union Berlin has also started its preparations for the upcoming 2025/26 Bundesliga season Moz reports. Coach Steffen Baumgart gathered his troops for the start of training on July 7th, while a public training session took place on July 9th. The first test matches took place on July 12th and 13th against teams from Brandenburg.
Exciting games will continue in the coming days, including a clash with Linzer ASK on July 19th and a duel with Rapid Wien on July 20th. Union is also planning a training camp in Herzogenaurach from July 23rd to August 2nd, followed by a friendly against Espanyol Barcelona.
The first Bundesliga games will take place from August 22nd to 24th, 2025, and the countdown to the new season is already underway!
