The district has now called on applicants who have not received a decision by August 25, 2025 to take care of a regular monthly ticket at reduced prices for September. Parents should know that the cost of the monthly ticket can be reimbursed upon request. To apply for this refund, the special application form C is required, which can also be found on the district's website. District Administrator Daniel Kurth emphasizes that the responsible authorities are doing everything they can to process the open applications as quickly as possible and asks for your understanding for the delays.
Simple application online
To make the whole thing even easier, the Barnim district has introduced an online application for school transport. Parents and students can create a user account via the portal barnim-aktuell.de and fill out the applications completely digitally. That's a nice thing! This makes it quicker and more convenient.
How does this work exactly? Users simply need to upload a passport photo and request a digital school confirmation. An application assistant guides applicants step by step through the process. If you submit an application early, you can avoid longer processing times and receive your student tickets in time for the new school year 2025/2026, as can be found on the website.
Ticket checks suspended
There is also an important all-clear for the affected students: the Barnim bus company will forgo ticket checks until September 12, 2025.
