Three burglars attack witnesses in Eberswalde – police are investigating!
A number of disturbing incidents occurred in the region last night. On the evening of October 29, 2025, three men observed a group trying to break into a gazebo on Georg-Friedrich-Hegel-Strasse in Eberswalde. During the crime, the perpetrators were equipped with leverage tools and kicked the door until they realized they were being watched. In a wild attack, they attacked the witnesses and cash, a debit card and cigarettes were stolen from one of the men. The 31-year-old suffered minor injuries. The criminal police are now investigating the case and trying to clarify the identity of the perpetrators. Barnim Current reports these shocking events.
But that wasn't the only thing that happened that night. In Bernau b. In Berlin, a 39-year-old threatened young people who disturbed him on Alte Lanker Strasse. To reinforce his threat, he pulled out a blank gun and fired several times into the air. In addition, an alcohol and drug test revealed that the man had a blood alcohol level of 2.35 and tested positive for drugs. Other dangerous items, including several air guns and a baseball bat, were later recovered from his apartment. Here too, an investigation was initiated.
Traffic accidents and drunk driving
In the early morning of October 30th, police officers stopped a Skoda on Zepernicker Strasse. The 21-year-old driver smelled strongly of alcohol, which was also confirmed in a test: he had a blood alcohol level of 1.26. The driver had to surrender his driver's license and take a blood test. This case is also being investigated.
Another incident occurred around 8:50 a.m. in the city area. While turning, a 46-year-old VW driver collided with a 69-year-old cyclist who was traveling on the cycle path in the opposite direction. The cyclist fell and had to be taken to hospital in an ambulance. Such accidents show how important it is to be attentive on the road and to follow traffic rules.
