Eberswalde beckons: health week with a free open day!

The Eberswalde Health Week is just around the corner and promises exciting insights into the world of medicine. From July 14th to 19th, 2025, the GLG Werner Forßmann Klinikum and the GLG Martin Gropius Hospital invite the population to a varied week full of information and interactions. The highlight of this event is the open day on July 19th, which will take place from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. in the Forßmann Clinic. And the best part: All events are free!

A colorful program from Monday to Friday ensures that everyone interested will find something for themselves. From 5 p.m. there are free specialist lectures every evening at the EBU Center Eberswalde, in which senior physicians and experts talk about current medical topics and are available to answer questions. On Monday, for example, visitors can expect an exciting discussion about emergencies in children and adults, followed by lectures on surgical clinics, urology and modern gynecology and obstetrics on Tuesday.

Insights into the medical world

The week continues with the opening of the cancer advice center on Wednesday at 2:30 p.m., followed by a presentation of the internal clinics at 5 p.m. On Thursday everything revolves around psychosomatics, depression, dementia and nutrition in the GLG Martin Gropius Hospital. The event ends on Friday, when the focus is on specialist areas such as head and neck, radiation therapy, neurosurgery and radiology. This comprehensive program is perfect for anyone who wants to learn more about medical options to better understand and protect their health.

The crowning conclusion of the Eberswalde Health Week – the open day – will feature attractive activities for all generations. In addition to a teddy clinic for the little ones, where sick teddy bears can be treated, there will also be exciting offers such as IRIS photography, a BB radio stage and virtual reality simulations. The fire department and a dog team are also on site to provide plenty of entertainment.

Exclusive tours and personal encounters

Visitors have the opportunity to experience exclusive tours of various areas of the clinic. These include the delivery room, the operating room, the intensive care unit, the cardiac catheterization laboratory, the helipad as well as the sterilization department and the clinic kitchen. All of this not only offers a fascinating look behind the scenes of medical work, but also opportunities for personal encounters with the clinical team.

The Eberswalde Health Week aims to inform and raise awareness among the general public about medical issues. At a time when health prevention and knowledge about therapies are becoming increasingly important, such an initiative is a real benefit for the region. Those interested can find further information on the website Barnim Current and GLG Health. Information about events at the Vivantes clinics can also be easily found at Vivantes.
