Cultural diversity in the Paul Wunderlich House
The Paul Wunderlich House is not only a center for art lovers, but also the most modern ecological administration building in Germany. With over 19,000 square meters of space, it houses one of the artist's largest exhibitions. More than 300 originals by Wunderlich are regularly exhibited, including paintings, lithographs and even plaster models, which are being shown worldwide for the first time.
The building uses innovative techniques to work energy-efficiently: It is a zero-emission house that uses geothermal energy and has unique vacuum insulation. Even on the hot summer nights, the windows open automatically to let fresh air into the house. This means the working environment always remains pleasant for the district center's approximately 500 employees.
