Big party for the 30th anniversary of the SV 2000 in the Marienbad!

Sprengelstraße 1, 14770 Brandenburg an der Havel, Deutschland - in Brandenburg an der Havel will celebrate a very big party in the Marienbad on Saturday, June 14, 2025: the SV 2000 Brandenburg lets the corks pop and commemorate its 30th anniversary! From 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. the event is under the motto "Children's and Family Party" and promises a lot of fun for young and old.

The ceremony is accompanied by none other than the team of Radio Teddy, which takes over the background music. Large hands-on activities and varied games in the Funbad and in the 25-meter swimming pool are on the program. Dennis Richter, the board of the association, is confident and reveals that the next 30 years will be as exciting as the past.

A look at the success story

Since its foundation, the SV 2000 Brandenburg has continued to develop. Over 14,000 children have learned swimming here, and it becomes clear that enthusiasm for water sports is great. Experienced swimming instructors, including Stephan Grenzdörffer, are still active and attach great importance to the training of young swimmers. The association offers a wide range of activities that ranges from children's swimming to water polo.

In view of the fact that around half of all children and adolescents are active in a sports club in Germany, the importance of such initiatives turns out more than ever. According to a survey, around 7.6 million children and adolescents under the age of 19 were registered in sports clubs at the beginning of 2023 - a strong indicator of the positive development of club life throughout Germany. The most popular sports, such as football and gymnastics, show that movement and community activities are still very popular.

The SV 2000 did not suspect when it was founded in 1995 the large number of children and families would join the association. Every year new offers and events are launched to strengthen the community and also promote swimming skills. The 30th anniversary is a welcome occasion to look back on the successful years and to look into the future.
