Kaufland opens the new market in the Beetzsee Center: freshness and diversity!

Brandenburg an der Havel, Deutschland - A fresh wind is now blowing through the Beetzsee Center in Brandenburg an der Havel! On July 8, 2025, Kaufland opened its latest branch and not only brings new shops, but also fresh swing to the region. With a sales area of around 5,600 square meters and over 30,000 articles in the range, the new market is a real shopping paradise. From branded items to own brands to regional products - there is really something for everyone here. Particularly noteworthy is the extensive selection of over 250 regional products that come from the area up to 30 kilometers.

Patrick Fischer, the market manager with 20 years of experience in the group of companies, is very satisfied with the previous course after only three weeks. "We have the ideal location so that customers can find everything in one place," he explains. The large fresh counter with a length of around 16 meters, which offers numerous types of meat and sausage as well as cheese and antipasti, is very popular. Fish, fruit, vegetables and dairy products complete the offer, while over 90 freshly baked items are available every day in the in -house bakery.

The new Kaufland and the region

Thanks to the return of Kaufland as an anchor tenant and the investment of 11 million euros in the renovation of the former real market, the number of visitors in the Beetzsee Center has risen noticeably. The vacancy is almost completely resolved, only a few areas are still unmoved, and talks to rent are already underway. With its opening in 1993, the center itself played an important role in retail in the region, and the revival by Kaufland is significantly strengthening the local economy.

The return of Kaufland after the conclusion of Real in March 2024 led to a decline in the number of visitors by 50%. But now other shops in the center are happy about a new customer frequency. A MAZ survey of ten visitors shows that most of them are satisfied with the new market offer, but express wishes for shorter distances in the market and a better structured structure.

technology and service at the latest status

Special attention was also paid to modern technology. With closed refrigeration furniture, modern LED lighting and an energy-saving heat pump, the market is well equipped for the future. Customers also benefit from a customer management system that makes orientation easier. In the cash register there are also innovative solutions such as self-service cash registers (SB cash registers), which ensure time savings, especially for smaller purchases. The possibility of mobile purchasing with the K-Scan hand scanner and digital payment via QR codes on the SB cash registers also offer comfort.

Overall, Kaufland not only shows with its opening strategy that the company endeavors to gain a foothold in the region, but also that the focus is on responsible coexistence with a focus on sustainability and regional connections. This philosophy also blows through the next planned new openings in Germany, with Kaufland being targeting numerous other branches by the end of February 2026

The future in the Beetzsee Center is thus secured! You have the opportunity to visit the new Kaufland and to convince yourself of the wide range and fresh products. Who knows, maybe you will also experience some of the planned special campaigns and tastings for the opening ceremony. You can also find information about it and the latest developments at the Kaufland Presse website.
