Clean city: leaf containers in Brandenburg from October 2025!
Autumn is just around the corner and with it the harvest time in the garden. Many garden lovers ask themselves where they can dispose of the collected garden waste such as leaves and clippings. In the coming autumn of 2025, a new solution will finally be in sight: From October 27th to December 7th, 2025, numerous containers for the disposal of leaves and green waste will be set up in Brandenburg an der Havel, which will be a valuable help for all residents. The city of Brandenburg provides information about the exact locations and time periods.
The containers will be placed at various locations throughout the city to make disposal as easy as possible for citizens. The location changes every two weeks so that citizens have the opportunity to conveniently dispose of their green waste nearby. The containers offer a great deal of relief, particularly useful for those who have to comply with the obligation to clean up their neighbors. However, citizens should note that they are only allowed to dispose of pure leaves and green waste - garbage bags, packaging or bulky waste have no place here.
Leaf container locations
The first installation period begins on October 27th and ends on November 9th, 2025. The containers are available at the following locations:

The last period for setting up the containers is from November 24th to December 7th and includes locations such as Kirchmöser and Plaue.
Alternative disposal options
The city also offers alternative disposal methods for those who are unable to use the containers. Home composting is a sustainable solution; local organic waste bins can be used for smaller amounts of organic waste. If you need to dispose of large amounts of garden waste, you can turn to a number of paid options such as the recycling center on August-Sonntag-Straße or various service providers. These options are particularly suitable for coarser materials such as branches and shrub cuttings. It is repeatedly pointed out that burning garden waste is prohibited in many regions and can result in high fines. FUXTEC highlights that the correct disposal of garden waste is not only crucial for a well-kept garden, but also for a responsible interaction with nature.
Whether through the new containers or through alternative disposal methods, the city of Brandenburg has shown a good knack for supporting citizens in disposing of their garden waste. It will be exciting to see how the new initiatives will be accepted in autumn 2025!
