Sports badge day at Beetzsee: fun and activities for everyone!
On June 17, 2025, a very special sporting event will take place in Brandenburg an der Havel: The Sports Badge Day, which will take place from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on the Beetzsee regatta course. The German Olympic Sports Confederation (DOSB) has created the German Sports Badge, an award that is not only available to competitive sports, but is accessible to everyone. Motto of the day: “Join in and have fun”. There really is something for everyone here!
The event is organized by the city sports association and the state sports association and is aimed at companies, families, clubs and anyone interested. The colorful range of activities includes, among other things, a mini golf course, a climbing wall and the opportunity to let off steam with a four-person bungee. A special 25 meter swimming court is available for swimming enthusiasts.
Inclusion in sport
An important theme surrounding Sports Badge Day is inclusion. The importance of inclusion in sport was particularly deepened during the Inclusion Expert Forum, which recently took place in Berlin. There, experts discussed how people with disabilities can be integrated into sport. The Special Olympics World Games, which recently took place in the capital, were another striking step in this direction, highlighting the active participation of people with intellectual disabilities. This commitment promotes exchange and cooperation between sports associations and is intended to ensure that inclusion becomes a matter of course in all structures. A variety of exciting projects and initiatives, such as the inclusive fencing sport of Makkabi or the “#TogetherInclusive” project by Special Olympics Germany, has caused a lot of excitement.
To take part in Sports Badge Day, clubs and groups with more than five participants should register in advance. This can be done easily by phone on (03381) 300 305 or by email info@ssb-brandenburg.de. Physical well-being is taken care of: food and drinks are available on site so that participants are always well looked after.
A day for everyone
The German Sports Badge is the highest award for sporting achievements outside of competition and is open to everyone - regardless of age, gender and sporting experience. This gives participants the freedom to simply participate and have fun. This makes Sports Badge Day a great opportunity to be active together, try out new sports and pull together.
We are looking forward to a sporty afternoon full of action and community on the beautiful regatta course, where everyone has the chance to show off their sporting skills - whether swimming, climbing or on the mini golf course. Sports Badge Day is sure to be an experience to remember!
