Two talented violinists conjure up Brandenburg's inner city flair!

Today the city center of Brandenburg an der Havel is becoming a very special place for music lovers. As part of their project “The Buskers – Your Unique Music Experience”, the two talented violinists Malgorzata Makarewicz and Gwidon Ciezarek present impressive sounds that bring the flair of the big city to the region. As Meetingpoint Brandenburg reports, they are playing in the city center today from around 10/11 a.m. and promise an exciting musical experience.

Malgorzata Makarewicz, born in Suwałki in 1999, is a true virtuoso on the violin. She started playing at the age of five and attended the National Music School in her hometown, where she graduated with flying colors. Her passion and dedication to music led her through numerous competitions in which she made a name for herself in the classical music scene. Among other things, she was a participant in the IMKA International Internet Music & Dance Competition 2020 and gave numerous concerts in well-known Russian and European concert halls.

A versatile talent

Malgorzata's career is impressive: at III. She was awarded the National Competition “Violin’s Talents” in Poznań, received second place at the Muse 2020 International Competition and was part of the 10th National Zdzisław Jahnke Violin Competition in Poznań. She performed under well-known conductors and refined her skills through master classes and chamber music workshops. As Internet Music Competition points out, she is currently taught by Professor Andrzej Gębski and her musical partner Gwidon Ciezarek at the Chopin University of Music in Warsaw.

Gwidon Ciezarek, also an esteemed violinist and teacher, shares with Malgorzata not only his love of music, but also his passion for teaching. They are now traveling through various cities together to inspire audiences with their extraordinary talent. Every moment that they spend in rehearsals, a string can break - a sign of the intensive practice that both of them do not shy away from in order to give their best.

The world of competitions

Competition is a central part of her career. Malgorzata and Gwidon took part in prestigious events, including the International Violin Competition “Henryk Wieniawski” in Poznań and the International Tchaikovsky Competition in Moscow.
