Brandenburg calls for blood donations urgently needed – help now!

Anyone who is over 18 years old, is healthy and can present a valid ID card meets the requirements for a donation. The donation itself usually only takes five to ten minutes, followed by a ten-minute recovery period. After the process, donors are offered a small snack - a pleasant way to say thank you.

Call for blood donations in Brandenburg

There are numerous blood donation appointments in Potsdam, Cottbus and Herzberg for those interested. In Potsdam, for example, donations can be made next Monday between 12:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. at the Potsdam Institute. Blood donations are also possible in cities such as Templin, Spremberg and Brandenburg an der Havel. In addition to the DRK, other organizations such as Haema and university hospitals are also available to accept donations.

For Rhesus-negative donors, there is a wider choice of recipients, but only a limited choice of donations. This entire dynamic highlights the need for regular and ongoing blood donations.
