BTU Cottbus celebrates a huge summer festival: fun, music and international food!

The sun is shining over Cottbus and that heralds a very special event! On Friday, July 4, 2025, a colorful summer festival will be celebrated on the central campus of the BTU Cottbus-Senftenberg. From 12 p.m. to 6 p.m., all visitors can look forward to an exciting daytime program, followed by an evening full of music and partying until late at night. A highlight that no local should miss!

The summer festival, which has already established itself as a fixture in the city's event calendar, is aimed at students, families and neighbors. The organizers under Phillip Peschwier have come up with a lot of ideas. The younger ones can let off steam in ball pits and on a bouncy castle, while parents and grandparents can chat over international food and dance activities. Niederlausitz Current reports that a rally with attractive prizes, including laser tag games, is also part of the program. Anyone who loves adventure can take part in a guided bike tour to the Lost Places in the Lausitz Science Park, for which 20 bikes are available.

For young and old

The festival also offers other exciting stands, including a walker course, dog sports and a reflex wall. To refresh visitors young and old, there are also a variety of drinks on offer, including interesting discounts. If you prefer something more comfortable, you can relax in the chill-out area or take part in trading card games. From 4 p.m., Chancellor Robert Denk will give a speech that will certainly not only be informative, but also entertaining.

And then it really starts! From 7 p.m. the campus will be transformed into a lively festival area with live music on two stages. On the main stage, the program includes Juse Ju, Shirley Holmes, Zeitdriver, Superfuture and F.A.K.T. The show is moderated by the well-known faces Stefan and Georg from Quizlab. The side stage invites you to an aftershow in Comicaze from midnight, so that the party mood can continue even after midnight.

Your physical well-being is also taken care of. Visitors can expect a wide range of snacks, street food and sweets that invite them to linger. Since experience has shown that the food stalls are well attended, patience is recommended. Radio Cottbus emphasizes that last year the space in front of the Audimax was filled to the last meter, which only confirms the popularity of this event.
