Energie Cottbus is planning the next shooting festival 8-0 against Wittichenau!
Energie Cottbus is in excellent form, because the team was impressively convincing in its last test games. On June 28, 2025, the team celebrated a real torrausch against the SpVgg Finsterwalde and prevailed with a fabulous 26: 0. Jannis Boziaris was the hero of the game and scored an incredible five goals. Another goal scorer star, Can Moustfa, contributed three hits in the first round, while Tolcay Cigerci welded four times in the second round. Coach Claus-Dieter Wollitz completely changed at half-time and the new formation conjured up no less than 15 more goals on the scoreboard. With this shooting festival the day before, Cottbus seemed to be a glorious template for the subsequent match against DJK Blau-Weiß Wittichenau.
In the subsequent test game on June 29, 2025, Cottbus was able to continue the success and beat the Wittichauer 8: 0. In front of around 1,700 spectators who had traveled from the region, the game first rippled to 0-0. It was only in the 28th minute Boziaris the fans released the fans with the lead goal. Justin Butler increased to 2-0 in the 34th minute before going at half -time.
The second half: new beginning and many goals
After the change of sides, coach Wollitz changed his entire team, and that paid off. Can Moustfa opened the second half with the 3-0, followed by Ted Tattermusch, which increased to 4: 0. Shortly afterwards, Romarjo hit Hajrulla and placed 5-0. In the final phase, the Cottbuser really started again: Moustfa turns a penalty in the 82nd minute, Hajrulla netted again in the 85th and Erik Tallig rounded off the impressive result with the 8: 0 in the 87th minute.
These strong performance could give Energie Cottbus the necessary momentum to cause a stir in the coming third division season. After a narrow missed participation in the second division climbing relegation in the previous season, the signs for a successful second half of the season seem to be favorable. The next test game against VSG Altglienicke on July 4th will show whether the club can take this flow with it.
