On Friday it's time for football fans in Hanover: Off to Cottbus! Hannover 96 will play against Energie Cottbus in the DFB Cup on Saturday. Kick-off is at 6 p.m., which gives the players the opportunity to sleep in and prepare for the exciting duel. Coach Christian Titz has big plans and plans for the team to come together later on the day of the game to have a brunch and to prepare for the game with an activity.

Despite his strategic approach, Titz warns of the challenges that the DFB Cup brings with it. He emphasizes that there will be no experiments in the lineup this round - especially in the goalkeeper position, he will stick with his usual personnel. Nahuel Noll, 22 years old, will guard the goal, while Leo Weinkauf, 29, stays behind. “We want to go far in the competition and ideally make it to the final,” says Titz, noting that the competition is very evenly balanced.

This year in particular, the team will also have to do without Brooklyn Ezeh and Josh Knight, who are unlikely to be on the roster.
