Enjoyable breakfast in the Mühlencafé: eggs, pancakes & more!

This offers a very special experience Mill Cafe in the historic mill of Königs Wusterhausen. Founded two years ago by Daniel Wendlandt and Robert Oelmann, the café has now established itself as a fixture for all breakfast lovers in the region. Located directly on the Notte Canal, this is a great place to start the day.

The breakfast offering is varied. In addition to hearty classics like the popularEggs Benedict, which is served on a brioche bun with wild herb salad, poached eggs and a delicious hollandaise sauce, the café also offers modern creations. The vegan avocado bread with spelled bread, beetroot hummus, chickpeas and black cumin provides a fresh touch. A special highlight is the mill breakfast, ideal for 1-2 people and at a fair price, where sausage and cheese specialties, homemade egg salad and more end up on the table.

Something for every taste

If you like it sweet, the menu includes pancakes with maple syrup and fruit, as well as a breakfast bowl with quark, nut granola and berry ragout. Simple options such as scrambled eggs or fried eggs can also be enjoyed for 6.50 euros, also with salmon, bacon or avocado.

There is also a diverse range of coffees from theBerlin roastery. The cappuccino costs 3.80 euros, while a flat white costs 4.30 euros. Oat milk is also available, which rounds off the offering.

The terrace by the water is particularly popular in the summer, where a food truck offers delicacies. The café itself can accommodate around 60 guests indoors and outdoors. Accessibility is largely guaranteed; a corresponding toilet is planned for the winter.

Reservation recommended

Opening times are Monday to Friday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. and on weekends from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Reservations are advisable, especially on weekends, to secure a place in the popular Mühlencafé. The address is Schloßstraße 7, 15711 Königs Wusterhausen.

For the operators Daniel Wendlandt and Robert Oelmann, the Mühlencafé is not only a place of enjoyment, but also a piece of home that combines history and gastronomy. The effort to create a unique ambience in which the counter wood comes from the mill and is decorated with coffee grinders shows their good knack for quality and style.

A visit to the Mühlencafé not only promises culinary enjoyment, but also a relaxed atmosphere by the water - the perfect recipe for a successful start to the day.
