Zernsdorf: SUP rental canceled – all details about the dispute!

In Zernsdorf on the idyllic Krüpelsee, the dream of many water sports lovers to try out Stand Up Paddling (SUP) seems a long way off. As maz-online.de reports, the planned SUP rental in the City council meeting in Königs Wusterhausen rejected. Operator Viktoria Brovkova has already invested a whopping 30,000 euros to set up the modern and fully automated rental station directly on the banks of the Krüpelsee.

The decision came as a surprise after the town hall initially granted approval without involving other committees. Now the SUP rental container has to be dismantled and it remains unclear whether a new location can be found. This development affects not only the operator, but also water sports enthusiasts, who already sensed that the clear Krüpelsee would be an ideal environment for their sport.

SUP rental and enthusiasm for water sports

The SUP rental in Zernsdorf would have offered an attractive opportunity to escape the hustle and bustle of the city and enjoy the quiet bays of the Krüpelsee. The rental station would have offered both beginners and experienced paddlers a wide selection of SUP boards that could be easily booked online or on site.
