Adventurous autumn holidays in the city museum: activities for young and old!

There's a lot going on in Brandenburg an der Havel during the 2025 autumn holidays! The city museum invites visitors to a colorful program under the motto “Go and Stay”. The special exhibition “There and There” highlights the influences of different transport routes on people’s lives. Here, young and old can find out, discover and experience a lot.

Particularly noteworthy is the interactive tour, which will take place on October 8, 2025 at 4 p.m. in the Frey House. This tour is not only extremely informative, but also appeals to all the senses. It is aimed specifically at people who are blind or have limited vision. Afterwards there is the opportunity to exchange stories and life stories - a great opportunity to capture shared experiences. A “Book of Stories” is also available to immortalize the special moments. Participation is free and suitable for children aged 7 and over, although prior registration is recommended. Further details about this event can be found on the city museum website and the city museum itself.

Diverse offers and promotions

But that's not all! On October 29th there will be a “tour for all senses” in the Frey House at 4 p.m., which is also free. The “Fire and Flame” action day will be particularly exciting on October 25th from 1 p.m. Here visitors can expect not only music and snacks, but also guided tours, a scavenger hunt and black light photography. Stories for adults round off the program and make this day an unforgettable experience.

A special holiday event for the special exhibition “Hin & Weg” is planned for October 27th, which starts at 2 p.m. with Elli Swonken. Take the opportunity to delve deeper into the exciting topic and find out many interesting aspects!

Inclusive offers for everyone

The city museum also offers inclusive tours for people with disabilities and special needs. These include tactile guidance systems, texts in Braille or pyramid script and even videos in sign language. The interactive hands-on objects and smelling stations offer another exciting way to experience the museum with all your senses. These measures are part of an initiative to address the needs of people with disabilities, dementia and other limitations, to make visiting a museum accessible and enriching for everyone. The Brandenburg Tourism Network also emphasizes that museum visits are often more effective than medication, especially for people with dementia.

If you would like to know more about the events in the city museum, you will find comprehensive information in the autumn flyer and on the museum's website.
