Fischerjakobi in Plaue: parade, music and fun for everyone!

in Plaue, Brandenburg is a small but fine festival at the door: the Fischerjakobi festival! From July 25th to 27th the banks of the Havel became the center for families, friends and gourmets again. The Fischerjakobi Association has put together a colorful program that has something ready for every taste. And the best news: entry is free! According to Meetingpoint Brandenburg the festival begins on Friday at 4 p.m. with musical entertainment by DJ Roger and a solemn opening by Pastor Christian Bochwitz.

A special highlight of the first evening is the great fireworks at 10 p.m., which is accompanied by a scenic performance "The children bring the light to Plaue". This promises to become a real spectacle for the whole family. On Saturday it will continue with the big parade from 10 a.m., musically accompanied by the Märkische Schalmeiekapelle Brandenburg 1958. The road from Puschkinstraße to the festival area is transformed into a festive backdrop.

The program in detail

From 11 a.m. the mood is heated by DJ Heiko Bartel, followed by the castle musicians Ziesar at 11:30 a.m. Another highlight is the rowing regatta on Saturday afternoon, which starts at 3 p.m. The event is accompanied by the moderators Udo Geiseler and Jörg Pache. Dance performances by Ali’s dance and gymnastics at 5 p.m. also provide entertainment.

On Sunday the day begins with a festive service at 10 a.m. in the parish church in Plauer, also led by Pastor Christian Bochwitz. Musically, the service is accompanied by the Plauer Choir Laudare. After the service, the fishing procession is given special attention at 2 p.m.: fishermen decorate their boats and bless the water of the Havel - a custom that combines tradition with emotion.
