120,000 euros for 18 projects: Havelland relies on children and culture!
The rural area in the Havelland has reason to be happy: The local action group (LAG) Havelland has launched its action plan for the regional budget 2025 and supports a total of 18 small projects this year, including five exciting projects of children's and youth groups. A total volume of around 120,000 euros is available to promote and strengthen the commitment and community in the villages of the Region, such as Rathenow24
The funded projects are diverse and address different age groups. So the residents of Rhinow can look forward to a new amusement park in the Birkenwäldchen. The hands-on kitchen in the family in Friesack will be a popular meeting place, while the Kunstwerk West e.V. association can spice up cultural events with professional sound technology. In addition, almost 1,400 children and adolescents have selected their favorites online: table tennis table and basketball basket for the little ones in Görne and a disc golf course in Wagnitz. The youth fire brigade can also look forward to new equipment and cherry trees.
call to submit projects
If you still have ideas, you should take notice: On March 24, 2025, the LAG Havelland starts the second selection round for small projects as part of the regional budget. One goal of this initiative is to support rural development and strengthen regional identity. Project ideas can be submitted by May 15, 2025. A total of 70 projects from a wide variety of areas of agglomeration, encounter and nature have found space in the regional budget since 2019, so [LAG-Havelland] (https://www.lag-havelland.de/aktuelles/2-auf-zur- Environment-von-kleinprojekt-2025/).
An exciting new element is the youth budget "Havellandheroes", which is dedicated to young people from 0 to 27 years. Here there are 15,000 euros available for projects that can include max. 3,000 euros in grants. This targeted support should promote particularly creative ideas from youth - further incentive to get involved and do something for the community with your own initiative!
leader program as support
The background of this funding program is in the European Leader approach, which has arisen to give rural regions a new dynamic through community initiatives. The aim is to involve local players in the development of their region and to serve them as engines of change. The principles of the LEADER approach not only promote personal responsibility, but also the networking between different actors, such as EU.
The LAG Havelland implemented this approach locally to sustainably promote the quality of life and economy in the Havelland. In addition to the ongoing projects, funding for larger leader projects will again be available in September-a total of 2.5 million euros, for which ideas can be submitted by September 15, 2025. Interested parties are cordially invited to a digital information event on July 16 from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.
Overall, it turns out: In the Havelland is an exciting chance in the air to actively shape the cooperation and the community. The coming months not only promise funding, but also the opportunity to create innovative ideas.
