Power outages in Kleinbuckow: E.DIS is carrying out maintenance work!

Today, July 22, 2025, E.DIS Netz GmbH is carrying out scheduled maintenance work in Kleinbuckow, a small town in Milower Land in the Havelland district. From 12:30 p.m. until 3:00 p.m., E.DIS professionals will work to maintain the power grid infrastructure, which may lead to temporary power outages in the area. But don't worry, the interruptions are usually not emergencies, like news.de informed.

The maintenance work takes place within a radius of around one kilometer around Kleinbuckow. Important for residents: If there is a power outage, you should first check whether the problem is only in your own apartment. In cases where the problem is persistent, it is recommended to report a fault to E.DIS.

Modernization and expansion of the power grid

Independent of the maintenance work in Kleinbuckow, E.DIS also recently installed two new transformer stations in the Uckermark. These projects are part of the comprehensive expansion of the electricity grid infrastructure. The new stations were set up using heavy transport and a crane from Gräper from Heiligengrabe. The work was supported by employees of the state road department and regional civil engineering companies, such as nordkurier.de highlights.

In Lychen, where a new transformer station was installed near the Netto market, fast charging options for electric vehicles are to be created. In addition, a new residential complex in Templin will be supplied with heat pumps, which will also be connected to the power grid. The upcoming cable laying and civil engineering work in Templin includes 328 meters of medium-voltage cable and 840 meters of low-voltage cable.

Technical progress in focus

The new transformer stations, also called DigiONS, offer advantages such as digital technology for converting medium to low voltage and enable remote monitoring of power consumption. This significantly increases efficiency and the speed of reaction in the event of disruptions. E.DIS plans to install a total of 755 such modern local network stations in its network area by the beginning of January 2025 and even has 430 more planned for 2025.

In total, E.DIS operates a power line network of around 82,500 kilometers in Brandenburg and Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania. In addition, a gas pipeline network of around 5,100 kilometers is operated in eastern Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania and northern Brandenburg. This shows that E.DIS Netz GmbH has a good hand when it comes to the future of electricity supply in the region.
