First date for start-ups: Reaktor.Wildau attracts Brandenburg!
On June 23, 2025, the new start-up center Reaktor.Wildau was officially opened in Wildau, Brandenburg. This center is seen as one of the key factors in strengthening Brandenburg as an innovative business location. With a constant focus on energy technology, information and communication technology (ICT), media and creative industries as well as mobility, optics and photonics, it is the first of a total of six start-up centers that will be opened in the coming years. Loud City report These centers are comprehensively supported by the state of Brandenburg, which is providing over 17 million euros until 2028, supported by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF).
The center is located near the Wildau University of Technology, right in the center of aerospace, making it an ideal location for innovative start-ups. At the opening event, the start-ups of the first cohort were able to present their business models and thus make their first contacts with potential partners. “A good place for start-up innovation,” remarked Brandenburg’s Economics Minister Daniel Keller during his opening speech, which was part of an extensive program that also included stimulating pitches from the founders and offered exchange opportunities with network partners, such as WFBB is reported.
A strong offer of support
Thanks to the program, the start-ups have the chance to be supported in “cohorts” for up to nine months. During this intensive support, experienced coaches support the founders when it comes to scaling their ideas, clarifying financing issues, applying for patents, making international contacts and winning customers. The center offers modern office space, technical infrastructure as well as specific workshops and laboratories. “This is a real win for the founders,” says one participant who visited the first cohort.
How Spreeland digital center notes, Reaktor.Wildau is part of a nationwide plan to accelerate the development and growth of young companies. The initiatives in Brandenburg aim to impart entrepreneurial know-how and promote networking for successful corporate development. The offer not only includes office space, but also targeted training measures and professional support during the scaling phase - all measures aimed at minimizing risks for founding teams.
More centers in the pipeline
In the next few years, another five start-up centers will be opened in Potsdam, Bad Belzig, Cottbus, Beeskow and Strausberg, each with specific focuses. For example, the MediaTech Hub will be built in Potsdam, which will focus on digital media and technologies, while Cottbus wants to promote innovations in the health sector. This variety of centers is intended to sustainably strengthen the start-up ecosystem in Brandenburg and offer young companies the opportunity to develop innovative business models that meet the challenges of digitalization and demographic changes.
Reaktor.Wildau and the other start-up centers show that Brandenburg is ready to invest in the future and has a heart for founders. This sets the stage for a strong network in the region. It remains exciting to see what innovations will emerge from these spaces!
