In the last few days there have been numerous changes to the public transport timetable in the Oberhavel region. These affect several lines and are due to various construction and maintenance work. The timetable changes apply from October 20th to 27th, 2025 and affect important connections that make life easier for many commuters and travelers.
One of the most significant changes concerns the RE2 line, which runs between Hennigsdorf and Cottbus. On October 27, 2025, no trips between Hennigsdorf and Dallgow-Döberitz will be possible until 1 p.m. The S-Bahn is offered as a replacement here. In addition, there will be another shutdown between Hennigsdorf and Berlin Zoological Garden on October 29, 2025, from 9:30 p.m. to 12:30 a.m. due to maintenance work.
Other important changes
The RE5, which runs from Rostock/Stralsund via Oranienburg to Berlin-Südkreuz, is also experiencing restrictions. Trains between Oranienburg and Berlin-Südkreuz are canceled until October 29, 2025, 3 p.m. The RE6, which runs from Perleberg via Oranienburg to Berlin-Gesundbrunnen, also has extensive changes. The journeys between Perleberg and Wittenberge have been suspended until February 9, 2026, and the diversion from Neuruppin leads via Löwenberg and Oranienburg to Berlin-Gesundbrunnen.
In addition, the RE6 between Kremmen and Hennigsdorf will be canceled until November 2, 2025, which also has a major impact on travelers. For alternative connections, buses will be switched to that run between Neuruppin and Velten.
Bus traffic and other lines in view
The timetables of the RB12, which connects Oranienburg with Berlin-Ostkreuz, do not provide for any trips between Oranienburg and Berlin-Ostkreuz from 9:30 p.m. on October 29th and 30th - the S-Bahn will step in here. There is also interesting news for the RB20 and RB32, which are canceled or have diversions until November 14, 2025 and December 13, 2025. The RB20 stops running between Oranienburg and Hennigsdorf, while the RB32 only runs to a limited extent.
