Firefighter Daniel and Vanessa: dream wedding in front of the castle!

On Saturday there was a very special reason to celebrate in Oranienburg: Firefighter Daniel Lorenz and his beautiful bride Vanessa exchanged vows in front of the registry office. The two had each other Facebook met and have been living together in Oranienburg for two years. They said “yes” in a solemn setting and in a small family circle, while fellow firefighters waited for them in front of the registry office.

The backdrop at Oranienburg Castle created a dreamlike atmosphere, which Vanessa also enjoyed with enthusiasm. Although the weather was a bit changeable that day, at least the sun peeked through the clouds. As befits a fire brigade wedding, the celebration was even held on the turntable ladder of a fire engine. A very special moment that underlines the couple's passion for Daniel's profession.

Honeymoon in Hamburg

Together with Daniel, who had previously worked for the Blumenow fire department in Fürstenberg since 1998 and is currently working for a security company in Rheinsberg, Vanessa, who works as a pharmaceutical-technical assistant in Berlin-Frohnau, experienced a romantic engagement in Hamburg at the musical “The Lion King”. They had already started their honeymoon in Hamburg, but had to leave their hotel at short notice due to a fire call. The couple plans to continue their honeymoon again in the fall at a more distant location.

Cheers to the fire department

A celebratory highlight of the wedding was not just the civil ceremony - there were also various wedding rituals that are very popular at fire brigade weddings and underline the couple's personal style. Such special elements can make a ceremony even more emotional, for example through a personal wedding vow or lighting a wedding candle as a symbol of the light of love, which many couples do during their wedding.

As with Jenny and Joachim, who designed their celebration with a fire brigade theme and where guests were able to actively participate in various rituals, such as the symbolic extinguishing of a fire, Daniel and Vanessa also combined fire brigade traditions with unique personal touches for their special day. These mixed elements not only have a long tradition, but also make every wedding an unforgettable experience.

The wedding celebrations continued on Saturday evening in a restaurant in Berlin-Frohnau, where many relatives and friends celebrated the newly married couple in style. The memories of this day will certainly last for a long time for everyone involved - a rush of joy that will give them warmth for a long time.
