Tempo 30 sign gone in Vehlefanz: What Eberhardt is planning now!
In Vehlefanz, traffic on Lindenallee, an important town thoroughfare and state road 17, has temporarily come to a standstill. The reason for this was the lack of a 30 km/h speed limit sign, which attracted concern from residents. Many feared that drivers would now be able to drive faster through the dangerous double curve, where several accidents have already occurred. But don't worry: the 30 km/h speed limit still applies, and the removal of the sign was apparently just a misunderstanding maz online reported.
In the midst of this transport debate, the mayoral election in Glienicke/Nordbahn on September 21st is also taking a closer look. Mario Eberhardt, the independent candidate, wants to actively work for the citizens. At 51 and as head of a functional area, he brings fresh ideas to politics. His suggestions include expanding mobile communications, more playgrounds for children and the establishment of 30 km/h zones to increase road safety. According to Eberhardt, there is stagnation in the community that he would like to overcome with commitment and new approaches.
The local employer and its plans
Another important topic in the region is the Malz shipyard in Oranienburg, which is managed by Ralf Loerke. He learned his trade as an apprentice in the shipyard in 1978 and now runs the company, which is the city's largest employer. 30 employees work here, and another 10 people work in independent companies. The shipyard is not only active in economic areas; it also trains skilled workers and offers student internships to develop the next generation of workers.
Loerke bought the shipyard in 2013 together with his son Martin and has since then worked closely with the next generation in the industry.
