The fire department in Oranienburg takes the weather situation very seriously and continually evaluates the DWD data. Strong gusts of wind were already recorded on Monday, which meant that the fire brigade had to carry out a total of 15 missions. An additional interim control center will be set up for this Thursday in order to be able to react even more quickly in an emergency.

The volunteer fire department in Kremmen has also taken precautions and is setting up a temporary control center in the fire station. “We are aware that the weather can be unpredictable today,” said Fielitz.
