Insane comeback: Sachsenhausen II saves point in Birkenwerder
In an exciting match on the 7th matchday of the North Regional Class, the spectators witnessed a brilliant encounter between Birkenwerder BC 1908 and TuS 1896 Sachsenhausen II. In front of 98 enthusiastic fans on the pitch, the host Birkenwerder seemed to have made everything clear with a 3-0 lead. But Sachsenhausen II was unimpressed and ensured a thrilling turnaround by equalizing to 3-3 in the final phase. Fupa reports that the goals for Birkenwerder were scored by Luca Maurice Fleck (14th minute), Dominic Weber (54th minute) and Eric Stephan (66th minute).
After a performance that may have cost some nerves, Sachsenhausen II got down to business in the second half. First, Tobias Lindner scored in the 68th minute, followed by Nick Dammenhayn, who scored twice in the 76th and 88th minutes, thus creating the spectacular equalizer. A point that strengthens the morale of the guests and shows that anything is possible in the league.
More league results
The other matches on the matchday also had some surprises in store. Klosterfelde II suffered a 3-1 defeat against Birkenwerder, with Sebastian Huger also sent off with a yellow-red card and is now suspended. SV Oberkrämer 11 hardly had a chance in its game against Joachimsthal and lost clearly 1:4.
Another look at the league shows a strong performance from Rot-Weiß Prenzlau, who won 5-0 against Wriezen. Enrico Bressel, Luis Hötzmann (who converted a penalty kick), Lukas Theel, Max Verhülsdonk and Florian Redmann contributed the goals to this clear victory. Prenzlau will soon face the unbeaten FC Strausberg, who have only conceded two goals this season.
A look at the table
The table shows that Wriezen is currently at the bottom, with only 3 points after a clear 0:5 defeat against Prenzlau. Kicker states that SpG Lunow/Oderberg remains in fourth place with 8 points after the 1-1 draw against leaders Blau-Weiß Gartz. Gartz himself only played 1-1 against Lunow/Oderberg, with Philip Baier and Marian Mecklenburg scoring the goals.
In a league where the air is burning, it remains to be seen how the next games will turn out. Because one thing is clear: the fight for the points will definitely remain exciting here!
