Alt Ruppin celebrates historic end to the season – Neustadt disappoints!

SV Eintracht Alt Ruppin crowned the season in the Landesliga-Nord with a thrilling final game against Schönower SV on June 22, 2025. With a narrow 2-1 win, the Ruppin team secured an excellent sixth place in the table and thus a satisfactory season balance. Coach Christoph Sperberg was proud of his team's performance and described the entire season as “incredible” and “deserved”.

What is particularly pleasing for Alt Ruppin is that the team not only performed better in the table this season than their traditional rivals Schwarz-Rot Neustadt, but was also able to reach the state cup quarter-finals for the first time. The third division team FC Energie Cottbus was waiting for the Ruppin team there, but the final score was a clear matter for the Cottbus team. Nevertheless, the move to the quarter-finals is a clear sign for Alt Ruppin that the team is on the right track.

An exciting race for the table positions

Before the last matchday, the starting position between Alt Ruppin and Schwarz-Rot Neustadt was extremely close: only one point separated the two teams. In the end, Alt Ruppin did significantly better and is now ahead of Neustadt in the all-time table. The fact is that they are number two in the Ostprignitz-Ruppin district behind MSV Neuruppin. A remarkable achievement that reflects the progress made in recent years.

Coach Silvano Fiore from Schwarz-Rot Neustadt, whose team has already made five transfers from the Brandenburg League, recognizes the achievements of the competitors and congratulates Alt Ruppin. His own club is planning a comprehensive change for the coming season. With the aim of rebuilding the team, Neustadt says goodbye to a total of a dozen players and goes into the coming season with fresh motivation.

The view of the future

For Alt Ruppin, the direction of travel is clear: the club wants to establish itself in the regional league in the long term. The current upward trend could possibly be the beginning of a successful era for SV Eintracht Alt Ruppin.
