The search for a suitable apprenticeship can be a challenge, but especially in October 2025 in the district of the Agency for Neuruppin. The employment agency, supported by the Chamber of Crafts and the Chamber of Commerce and Industry (IHK), has an ambitious goal: the post-placement campaign should get rolling right now to help school leavers find their place in professional life.

A joint day of action on October 7th in Oberhavel offers additional options: from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m., the doors of the employment agency are open, and interested young people can get advice without prior notice. Personal support is very important here. Especially for school leavers from Ostprignitz-Ruppin and Prignitz, individual consultations are available that can be booked on the agency's website. IHK President Ina Hänsel emphasizes how important this offer is for young people without a training position.
In its initiative, the Chamber of Crafts underlines the variety of training positions in the craft. More than 150 different professions are available, from construction and wood to metal and electrical to health and clothing. Robert Wüst, Managing Director of the Potsdam Chamber of Crafts, emphasizes the many development opportunities in these professions: A successful start can be the first step towards the master's examination - and even lead to its own business structure.
Digital support for the search for apprenticeships
The young people have practical support for the search for apprenticeships: the apprenticeship exchange of the Chamber of Crafts and its app "Apprenticeship Radar 2.0". This not only enables access to a variety of open apprenticeships, but also the function of creating your own profiles and receiving notifications through new offers. So the search for the dream job becomes child's play.
Another helpful step in this direction is the nationwide apprenticeship of the IHK. With around 40,000 open training positions and dual study programs, every prospective trainee has the opportunity to orientate yourself by regions or even nationwide. The platform also offers an overview of many internships that can help young people to gain initial experiences in different professional fields. This opportunity before deciding on an apprenticeship can be worth gold.
